The Russian movie "War and Peace" (Voyna i mir in Russian) is the longest movie with a duration of 8 hours to win the Academy Awards.The movie which won the award in the year 1968 for the Best Foreign Language Film film is based on Leo Tolstoy's novel War and Peace.

War and Peace
